About This Role
Join Target as a Grocery Associate and help provide fresh, quality food products to our guests. As a Grocery Associate, you will work in our food and beverage departments, ensuring shelves are stocked with fresh groceries, pantry staples, beverages, and snacks that families depend on. You will maintain food safety standards, rotate products to ensure freshness, and create appealing displays that make shopping for groceries at Target convenient and enjoyable. In this essential role, you will receive and stock grocery shipments, ensuring products are rotated properly using FIFO (first in, first out) methods to minimize waste. You will monitor product freshness, remove expired or damaged items, and maintain proper storage temperatures for refrigerated and frozen goods. Your attention to merchandising will create attractive displays of seasonal items, new products, and promotional offers. You will also assist guests in locating products, answer questions about ingredients and nutrition, and ensure the grocery area remains clean and inviting throughout the day.

What You'll Do
- Stock grocery shelves with food and beverage products efficiently
- Rotate products using FIFO method to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Monitor expiration dates and remove outdated or damaged items
- Maintain proper temperatures for refrigerated and frozen sections
- Create attractive displays for seasonal and promotional grocery items
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of grocery aisles and storage areas
- Assist guests with locating products and answering questions
- Process grocery shipments and verify quantities received
- Maintain food safety standards and proper handling procedures
- Collaborate with team to complete stocking and merchandising priorities
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Understanding of food safety and handling practices
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
- Comfortable working in varying temperatures including refrigerated areas
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work early morning shifts for fresh product stocking
- Guest service oriented with friendly, helpful demeanor
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Previous grocery, food service, or retail stocking experience helpful
