About This Role
Join Target as a Sales Associate and help create an exceptional shopping experience for our guests. As a Sales Associate, you will be the expert in your designated department, assisting guests in finding the perfect products, answering questions about features and benefits, and ensuring our shelves are fully stocked and beautifully presented. You will play a vital role in making Target the preferred shopping destination for millions of guests who visit our stores every day.
In this engaging retail role, you will maintain department organization, execute merchandising plans, and ensure products are properly signed and priced. You will process shipments, stock shelves, and create attractive displays that showcase our latest products and seasonal offerings. Your product knowledge and helpful attitude will guide guests to the items they need, while your suggestions for complementary products will enhance their shopping experience. You will also support other areas of the store during peak times, demonstrating the teamwork that makes Target successful.

What You'll Do
- Welcome and engage guests with friendly, knowledgeable service
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of products in your assigned department
- Assist guests in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
- Process incoming shipments and stock merchandise on sales floor
- Execute planograms and merchandising presentations accurately
- Ensure proper pricing, signing, and product placement
- Maintain organized, clean, and shoppable sales floor areas
- Process online order pickups and assist with guest services
- Support inventory accuracy through regular zone maintenance
- Collaborate with team members across departments to achieve store goals
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 16 years old
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic technology skills for using handheld devices and store systems
- Previous retail experience helpful but not required
