About This Role
Join Target as a Stock Associate and help keep our stores fully stocked and ready for guests. As a Stock Associate, you will unload shipments, organize inventory, and ensure products make it from the backroom to the sales floor efficiently. Your work directly impacts our guests' shopping experience by making sure the items they want are available, properly placed, and easy to find. You will be part of a dedicated team that works behind the scenes to maintain Target's reputation for having well-stocked shelves and organized stores.
In this physically active role, you will operate equipment like pallet jacks and hand trucks, break down pallets, and move merchandise throughout the store. You will follow planograms to stock shelves accurately, rotate products to ensure freshness, and maintain backroom organization for efficient inventory management. Your attention to detail ensures products are placed in the correct locations with proper signing and pricing. You will also identify low-stock situations and communicate with team members to keep the sales floor full. During overnight or early morning shifts, you will work as part of a team to complete major stocking projects before the store opens.

What You'll Do
- Unload delivery trucks and sort merchandise for distribution
- Stock shelves and displays according to planograms and merchandising standards
- Organize and maintain backroom areas for efficient inventory access
- Operate pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment safely
- Rotate stock to ensure product freshness and minimize waste
- Verify product counts and report discrepancies to leadership
- Break down cardboard and maintain a clean, safe work environment
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counting processes
- Communicate low-stock situations to replenishment team
- Support sales floor team members with guest questions when needed
What We're Looking For
- Must be at least 18 years old
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout shift
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended periods
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying quantities
- Previous warehouse or stocking experience helpful but not required
- Willingness to work in varying temperatures (sales floor and backroom)
